What "an approved electronic tax invoice" means

Electronic invoicing in Saudi Arabia has specific requirements from the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority: the form of the invoice, its mandatory fields, the code it carries, and how it is issued and retained. The invoice issued for your subscription with us is produced on that basis, for every payment.

In practice that means your accountant finds what they need on the invoice itself without asking you for it: both entities’ details, the item, the amount before tax, the tax, and the total.

Tax on each item

The prices shown on the pricing page do not include value-added tax; it is added at checkout and appears as its own line on the invoice. The rate itself is published on the pricing page, and we do not state it here as a figure so it cannot go stale.

Meta’s fees, meanwhile, are treated according to your arrangement with Meta and your own tax registration — a question for your accountant rather than for us.

And the size of those fees is not one number: it changes with the category of the template you send, which is what makes reviewing your template categories a financial matter rather than only a technical one — covered in the template categories guide.

What your accountant needs from you

  1. 1.Correct entity details on your account
Legal name, tax number and address — these are what the invoice is issued from.
  2. 2.A clear billing cycle
Monthly, annual or two-year. Payment is taken in advance at the start of the cycle, and the invoice follows it.
  3. 3.Keep the Meta item separate in your books
Two items from two parties; merging them into one line confuses reconciliation later.
  4. 4.Archive invoices as they arrive
Invoices are available from your account, and saving them periodically is easier than extracting them at audit.

Cancelling, upgrading and refunds

An upgrade takes effect immediately with the difference prorated against the remaining days, a downgrade takes effect from the start of the next cycle, and cancellation is available at any time with no extra fee, with the plan staying active until the end of the current cycle. All of that is reflected in the billing as it is in the service. The full refund and cancellation policy is published within the policies page, and the plans and payment methods are on the pricing page.

The form is the same; the amount and the period differ. Payment is taken in advance at the start of the cycle either way.

Can I estimate Meta’s fees before I start?
