This guide covers how to tell which state you are in, what causes each, how to submit a review that is read first time, and what not to do while the review is open.

Which state are you in?

StateWhat actually stopsThe path
Messaging restrictedThe daily limit has dropped; the account works and replies continueAn operational correction: the list, the content, the rating
Number temporarily suspendedThe number cannot send; the account standsA review submitted from the business account
Account under reviewAccount actions are held until the review is settledReview, then wait without parallel actions
Permanently disabledThe end of the process after review is exhaustedNot solved by creating a new account

What not to do right now

Before any step, three moves that prolong or worsen the state:

  • Do not create a new business account or register another number to keep sending — the action follows the cause, and the cause travelled with you.
  • Do not submit more than one review on the same state — back-to-back requests put you back at the end of the queue.
  • Do not resume the campaign that caused it the moment sending returns — going back to the same cause returns you to the same state faster.

What causes each

The causes overlap, but they do not weigh the same:

  • Recipient complaints: blocks and reports — the leading cause of a restriction.
  • Messaging people who never permitted it, or lists bought or gathered without permission.
  • Content breaching Meta’s commerce policy — prohibited categories or claims that do not hold.
  • Account details that do not match reality, or a business that cannot be verified.

How the quality rating is calculated and what moves it is covered in the quality rating guide.

How to submit a review that gets read

  1. 1.Know the cause before you write
A review that names neither what happened nor what changed is a request with no content.
  2. 2.Actually correct the cause first
Clean the list, stop the campaign responsible, review the template categories — before submitting rather than after.
  3. 3.Write what changed, not how you feel
Two sentences: what was happening, and what you did to stop it.
  4. 4.Submit once and wait
Review takes its own time, and the wait is part of the path rather than an obstruction in it.

After it comes back

Coming back is not the end of the situation but its operational start. Return at a lower volume, begin with your most engaged segment, and watch the rating daily for at least a week. A number that comes back and then resumes the same behaviour falls faster the second time.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a review take?

There is no published period, and it varies by the state and by how much is being reviewed. Submitting a new request during it delays it rather than speeding it up.

Can I send from another number while suspended?

Technically another number may work, but it carries the cause with it if the cause is in the list or the content — which widens the action instead of resolving it.

Does one suspended number affect my other numbers?

Actions land on the number or on the account according to the notice. If it is on the account it covers everything beneath it; if it is on the number the others keep working — but the cause is usually shared.

I deleted the campaign responsible. Does the account return automatically?

An operational restriction improves as the indicators improve, with no request. A suspension needs a review submitted explicitly.

Can your team lift the suspension?

Nobody lifts a Meta action on an account’s behalf. But our team reviews the cause with you, prepares the review and corrects what caused it, which is what shortens the path in practice.

What prevents it happening again?

Prior permission, the correct template category, a clean list, and watching the rating weekly. Three of those are set once; the fourth is an ongoing habit.
